As far back as I can remember I have had a passion for teaching children. My mother frequently reminds me that I never had an imaginary friend, I had an imaginary classroom. I would line up dolls and teach lessons, give classwork, even assign homework.

It was no surprise that I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Grove City College in 2001 and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from George Mason University in 2007. I spent the next few years working with children who possessed a wide array of special needs. I realized I had a talent for connecting with children of all types. I had a knack for helping them make progress. It could be challenging at times, but improving the lives of children was incredibly rewarding. I had found my calling.

Around this time, I became drawn to the scientific approach of Applied Behavior Analysis. I was inspired by the outcome-based nature of ABA and went on to earn my certification as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) from George Mason University in 2011.

Shortly thereafter I founded Paving Pathways with a clear mission to provide affordable, high-quality ABA services to children with autism, language and academic delays, social-skills deficits, and challenging behavior. I am proud of our many accomplishments with children and am extremely grateful for the opportunity to help every child reach their full potential.

If your child is in need of help, please do not hesitate to contact me here or by phone at 571-357-5582.

As a teenager, I took part in a volunteer project working with underprivileged children with special needs. I loved the children, and I loved the work. That experience shaped my decision to get a BA in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington in 2010, a Master’s Degree in Special Education from George Mason University in 2013, and a K-12 Special Education Certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I then became a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) in 2017.

I have spent the last seven years working with children with special needs and I truly believe that the ABA methodology is the most effective way of helping them learn new skills and overcome challenges. I have seen many children make significant, repeatable progress using this methodology. I would value the opportunity to help your child do the same.

I have never lost passion for my work. I get excited every time a child achieves a goal. I love the look on a parent’s face when their child has a breakthrough.

I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and I love working with multilingual families. I believe every child should have the chance to succeed and am dedicated to helping that happen in the lives of as many children possible.
